Always encouraging to see the work continue…
October 26th, 2009Just got an email from down in Puebla. It has been fun to see how the ministry has continued and changed and grown. Right now there is a team specifically ministering to athletes. One of the team members is a guy, Jose Luis, who you may remember from just a couple years ago when he gave his life to Christ (http://www.dananddeann.com/archives/41). Now he is ministering and sharing the message of salvation with other.
Recently in Puebla there was a type of “games” with college students competing in different events from Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. Many students and coaches heard the gospel. Jose Luis himself was able to share with the women’s volleyball team and the coaches from Puerto Rico. Very cool!
As a side note, Jose Luis is still raising his monthly support to be full time staff with Campus Crusade for Christ. If you are looking for a good ministry to invest in, Jose Luis is someone who is faithful and courageous. Here’s his giving website: https://give.ccci.org/give/View/2835611

Are college students really searching?
September 16th, 2009Here is an article I just read that shows how college students are looking for the truth. I’ve said it before, but we want to be there to tell them!
Religious Clubs Gain Popularity
Here’s one good quote from the article:
“Several studies by higher education research institutes (including The Barna Group and UCLA) have come to the conclusion that a lot of students are searching to find something bigger than themselves to believe in and college is becoming to perfect place to find that.”

A couple new videos of Elijah
