Congreso 06 is Over
What a great Congreso. By far this was the best Congreso I’ve been too. The speakers were amazing, content was rock solid, and the response that we saw from students was great. It was different from last year and due to that there were some adjustments that everyone had to make (especially in terms of housing) but even with the adjustments, the Congreso went great. You can check out the webpage here: Congreso We had speakers from everywhere. Voddie Baucham was amazing. He calls himself a “exegetical apologeticist.” I’ve never been as excited about apologetics as I was after hearing Voddie. I mean, how often does a talk on apologetics get you worked up? Anyway, for more click Voddie. We also had Vicki Romero who always just does a great job of connecting with the students even when she really brings truth about living the Christian life. Raul Justiniano challenged us to a 100 days of “Effective Prayer.” Layo and Luchi Leiva talked about the importance of the Word in discipleship. Jimmy Hassan spoke on Evangelism and how Evangelism is based on personal character. His big question is “How many people do you need to Evangelize?” The interesting thing is that you can actually answer that question, at least to a certain point. I might have to write more on that later. Finally Agustin and Steve brought everything together on the final night speaking first on Vision and then challenging the students to commit to launching movements in their department this year. Please be praying for the students as they go back to their schools. Pray that they will apply what they have learned and that they will really trust God for movements in their departments and universities.

That rocks to hear about the Congreso this past week, and the challenge at the end to commit to launching movments.
